Growing in Faith

Aside from Sunday service, our Presbyterian church in Fort Mill, SC, helps congregation members of all ages learn more about Jesus Christ by studying the Holy Scripture through Bible groups, Vacation Bible School, and Children’s Sunday School. We also have a Women’s Circle that meets every first Tuesday of the month from September to May.

Our Church Missions: A Product of Love and Service

At Riverview Presbyterian Church, we believe that Love + Service = Missions. We serve God, one another, the local community, and the world through various church missions, such as:

  • Dimes for Hunger
  • Fort Mill Care Center
  • Mother’s Day Offering
  • One Great Hour of Sharing
  • Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes

The women of our church are also encouraged to participate in Birthday Offering, Thank Offering, the Presbyterian Giving Catalog, and missions at Thornwell Orphanage — our Presbyterian orphanage.

Church Activities and Ministries: Promoting a Sense of Community

Come find acceptance, family, and abundant grace. As good stewards of our Presbyterian church’s facilities, we partner with groups that advance faith, worship, service, good character, and community, such as:

  • Girl Scout Troop
  • Girl Scouts Service Unit

We invite you to jump right into any of our church activities where you feel best fits you and experience a sense of community that’s next level.

About Us

“Presbyterian” means “elder.” We elect three elders each year to serve on a nine-person board called “the session” alongside the pastor. This board makes almost all decisions on behalf of the congregation with openness and transparency. Anyone can attend session meetings, minutes are published, and financial records and the budget are public by choice.

Ministry Teams

Using their God-given gifts and talents to serve, our ministry teams help carry out the life of the church. These teams include:

  • Worship
  • Building and Grounds
  • Christian Education
  • Missions
  • Personnel
  • Congregational Care/Outreach and New Members
  • Social Media

This is one of the largest offerings taken up by the Presbyterian Church at large. It is a great way for small churches to join other churches, big and small, to make a difference in the fight against disaster, poverty, food shortages and dirty drinking water internationally.  This offering is usually collected on Palm Sunday.  For more information see http://pcusa.org>special-offerings
